ABOUT SDA

The Southern Dressage Alliance (SDA) is an equestrian association. While we are based in Aiken South Carolina, membership is open to everyone regardless of geographical location.

As a Group Member Organization (GMO) under the United States Dressage Federation (USDF), the SDA is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive equestrian community, centered on the principles of dressage and in accordance with USDF.

Our target audience encompasses dressage riders of all ages and levels of experience, including adult amateurs, youth, and professionals. We welcome those actively engaged in competition as well as those who ride for personal enjoyment and development without a focus on showing.

Beyond traditional dressage devotees, we extend our invitation to “dressage-inspired” disciplines, recognizing the foundational role of dressage in their sports. This includes Eventing/Combined Training competitors, Western Dressage enthusiasts, etc. We also embrace all jumping sports, in recognition of the fact that fundamental dressage principles are crucial for effective riding in these disciplines too.
